ALVIS SALADIN FLUID FLYWHEEL
This my third project, I did at night-school honing my milling, turning and polishing skills over
a period of 2 years, while I was doing my "City and Guilds" between models and before I had
my own workshop and lathe. A must to progress in model engineering, 3 hours a week
would have taken a life time to do what I wanted to do, so I "dug deep into my pockets" and
bought a lathe. It has paved the way well for me, the interesting thing here is that it is all made
from "scrap" and left over materials from previous models.
FACTS
Made of mild steel 2 1/2 ins (27mm) in dia. 3ins (37mm) long weighing 2lbs (4.4kgs), uses
only ordinary engine oil found in your car. this is a ideal replacement for the standard clutch
because it is impossible to stall, extremely smooth take off.
CONTRUCTION
